It’s Time To Fall In Style Again!

It’s been a good few months since I played Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout, and truth be told, I’ve missed the chaos and laughs that this game gives me. I first played the game when it was released as a free game on PlayStation 4. Now that is talking some time ago now. Of course, the main reason I haven’t played in so long was I stopped my membership to PlayStation Network, as I wasn’t really benefitting from it and the promotional games weren’t ones that interested me as such. Of course, no membership meant no Fall Guys.

With the announcement of Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout heading to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One this year, I decided to wait it out and probably pick it up when it was released on Nintendo Switch. Sadly, the game has been delayed for both platforms and currently has no new release date, although I hope it isn’t too far away. For now, it’s back to either playing on PlayStation 4 or picking the game up on PC.

I had toyed with the idea of downloading the game on PC, however one thing was stopping me. That was my set-up. Mainly, I was concerned about my graphics card, as I was just scraping the games minimum requirements. I kept going back and forth being undecided if it was worth the risk or not and after talking with some friends and having some encouragement I took the dive and tried it out. After all, I could potentially refund the game if I wanted or hold out until I upgraded my graphics cards. Either way, the game was on sale on Steam for £7.99.

To my surprise, Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout ran perfectly. There were no major issues when playing and no issues with lag at all either. Now having taken the chance on trying it out, it was time to play alongside my friends.

A lot has changed in the game since I last played. Considering it was the first few weeks the game was out when I first played, we are now on Season Five and have a number of new maps that I’ve only seen pictures of via the Fall Guys social media accounts. Countless new ways to customize your characters and earn in game currency, Kudos and Crowns. Lots of great improvements overall from what I could see.

Now, it was showtime. I jumped into some games with my friends and let chaos unfold. I haven’t had that much fun in a long time. Everything was happening, laughing, screaming, shouting, the odd swearing it was great fun. I am still terrible at this game, but I loved every moment of it. I know that the more I play, the more I will get used to the maps again, and I’m sure the more I’ll fall off of the maps again, but that’s all part of the fun right?

Here’s a couple of minutes of me playing from earlier today. As you will see, it didn’t quite go to plan.

I had great fun playing again, especially alongside my friends. I’m hoping it is something we can do on a regular basis. I’m looking forward to exploring the maps I haven’t played yet and unlocking more options to customize my character, just so I can continue to fall off of the maps time and time again! At least I’ll look cool doing so!

Let me know what you think about Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout!
