There’s no denying that I love getting home from work and chilling out on the sofa, snuggled up in a blanket with my Nintendo Switch most evenings.
But what is a cozy game? To be honest, it can really be any game that makes you feel happy and relaxed when you play. For me, it’s a game I can pick up and play without worrying about what I was doing last time or what I need to do next. It’s a game that makes me smile and feel relaxed, it makes me happy, and I can just go about my own thing when I play.
Over the last few months, I’ve found myself playing more and more cozy games and this is a collection of just some of my favourites that you can find on Nintendo Switch.
I’ve loved playing Littlewood on my Nintendo Switch so much. There’s just something about taking things slow and exploring at your own pace while rebuilding the town that’s refreshing and satisfying. Especially after becoming the town Hero and saving the day!
I’ve talked a lot about Cozy Grove lately, and it is definitely the one game I reach the most for at the moment. I always look forward to settling down and working through any quests I need to do. Once I’ve finished all of the quests I can do I usually end up fishing or harvesting for a little while.
Animal Crossing New Horizons
I’ve lost count of how many hours I’ve put into both of my Islands now on Animal Crossing New Horizons but having the two islands has been great fun! They both have very different themes and feels to them plus I have totally different villagers on both. Being able to pick up where I last left off, catch up with my villagers and just hang out for a little with my friends always makes me happy after a long day.
I’ve recently got back into Minecraft both on Nintendo Switch and on PC. For my World on Nintendo Switch, I’ve just been exploring as much as I can and gathering resources before I settle down and make my final base. I can’t say I’ve done a lot as I’ve just been wandering around for the most part and my current base is currently a hole in the side of a cliff, but it’s a start.
New Pokémon Snap
Not only has New Pokémon Snap been an adventure full of nostalgia, I’ve loved jumping in and exploring the Lental Region. I find myself taking far to many photographs that I end up struggling to know which ones are my favourite. However, there’s something about just going with the flow of the game and discovering Pokémon in their natural habitats!
However, there’s plenty more cozy games that I’d love to check out and even add to my collection soon! These include To The Moon, Spritfarer, The Gardens Between, The Colonists, Calico, Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town and Rune Factory 4 to name a few more.
Of course, there are plenty of games out there to explore and discover! What are some of your favourite cozy games to play?
