Let’s Rewind: May

With all things considered, I can honestly say that May seems to have flown by far too quickly. I will be honest, this past month I’ve found it hard to get stuck into a game properly.  While I have sat down and played some games to help relax after a busy day at work, I’ve found myself hopping between a fair few games or just losing interest quickly compared to normal. The last few days haven’t been as bad though and I’ve got a few games that I’m excited to playthrough.

Minecraft Dungeons

I downloaded Minecraft Dungeons a couple of days ago on Game Pass and I’ve played a little over an hour but from the little bit I’ve played, it has been good fun. It’s still early days and there’s still a lot more to discover within the game but I’m excited to see how the story develops.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

I’ve finally made some more progress with Final Fantasy VII Remake this past week. It’s not much but around four more hours with the main story and a couple of hours doing side quests and standing around. I’m still thoroughly enjoying playing through the game and I’m always wondering what will happen next.

Animal Crossing New Horizons

I need to be honest. I’ve felt a little burnt out with Animal Crossing New Horizons the last few weeks. I’m still enjoying the game but I just load it up and do a handful of daily task, talk to my villagers, buy/sell a few things and that’s it. I haven’t paid off Tom Nook in about three weeks and I’ve forgotten to buy Turnips again this week but it’s all part of the fun. All I need to do is sit down and spend an hour or so sorting out and tidying up my island a little bit and I’ll be alright again.

I’m looking forward to seeing what June brings and it already looks like it is going to be a good month. I did end up picking up Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition for a good price from Simply Games a few days ago and I can’t wait to play. I really enjoyed playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but I’m excited to explore where it all began.

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle is also released during the first week of June and I’m excited to play the new expansion pack. It’s a theme that hasn’t really been seen before in any additional content for any The Sims game past or present. There are some slight aspects of eco-living in the game already but not to the extent that it is in this expansion pack.

Of course, that’s not all for June! The Last of Us Part II is due to be released and the Pokemon Sword/Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass is due to have the Isle of Armor portion of the pass released at some time during the month too. All in all a lot of good things coming this coming month.

Let me know what you are looking forward to during June!
