Happy Birthday Nintendo Switch

Firstly, happy second birthday to the Nintendo Switch and also to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild which we saw released alongside the console at launch!

Has it really been two whole years since the Nintendo Switch was first released? What an incredible two years it has been.

Nintendo Switch has been my go-to console for a little over a year now and I can’t really fault it. My own personal experience with the console has been amazing and any issues I have come across have been super easy to sort out.  The portability and the option to swap easily and quickly between handheld and tabletop mode is perfect as well. Honestly, I can’t complain.

Then you get the vast games library for both physical and digital games. There are just so many incredible games available including those that have been ported over too!  It really is hard to know where to start.

Personally, I do have to say that the Nintendo Switch is home to some of my favourite games to date. Including Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu.  Of course, there are many amazing games that you can get yourself lost in on the console.

However, the Nintendo Switch is showing no signs of slowing down during twenty-nineteen. Not only will we be seeing the likes of Super Mario Maker 2, Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age, Fire Emblem Three Houses and Yoshi’s Crafted World coming to the console this year we will also be seeing a brand new Animal Crossing game and the recently announced Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Sheild.

Of course, we are still very early on in the year but this year is already shaping up to be another strong and incredible year for the console and I can’t wait to see what else Nintendo have in store for players this year.

I hope you enjoyed this little short but sweet celebration post for the Nintendo Switch’s second birthday. I can’t wait to see how this year and the next few years unfold for the console.
