My Month In Gaming: September

September has been a super busy month for me with work, being away and just life in general but I’ve still managed to squeeze in a bit of time for playing some games here and there. Although I’ve played a couple of my usual games I’m going to jump straight in with different games. One is a new release and another is one that I’ve gone back to.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

First up is Shadow of the Tomb Raider which I have been enjoying it so much. I wasn’t actually planning on picking the game up as soon as I did but after playing the demo at RTX London I knew I would have to pick it up soon. I want to say that I’m about halfway through the main story currently but I have sidetracked a little bit here and there by doing side quests and looking for artefacts and murals as well. I have had moments where I’m on the edge of my seat to moments where I wanted to give up as I just couldn’t make a jump to get to the next bit of the mission. If you have played the previous two Tomb Raider games or any Tomb Raider game, to be honest then Shadow of the Tomb Raider is another great game to consider.

Tom Clancy’s rainbow six siege

One evening about a week ago I just really wanted to play Rainbow Six Siege. Keep in mind I haven’t played the game properly in a while and a lot had changed/updated in that time. Compared to my friends however who know the maps and which characters are best for different things I’ve had a lot of fun playing alongside them.

I’ve been sticking with Mira on defence and Ying on attack. I’m slowly getting use to these two characters when playing with my friends in casual games but in custom games, I’ve been exploring and getting use to a few others.  Despite not being too good at the game currently, I have managed to get some kills but at the same time, I’m still making silly mistakes which will stop in time.  Playing with alongside my friends has been such a laugh as well as they’ve all been helping me and giving me tips along the way.

Overall though September has been an awesome month and I’m excited for the next few months with the upcoming game releases like Forza Horizon 4, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Fallout 76 and many more.

  1. You’re not kidding about the good stuff coming over the next couple of months! My wife and I keep looking at the list of games due to come out, and then our wallets, and sighing in disappointment.
