My Month In Gaming: August

I honestly can’t believe that it is the end of August already. It’s crazy how quick 2018 has gone so far but I’m looking forward to the last few months of the year especially with so many new game releases on the horizon!

Overwatch

Ahhh Overwatch! I’ve been having a bit of a love-hate relationship with Overwatch lately but I have been enjoying playing Overwatch during the Summer Games. I’ve been avoiding Lucio Ball as much as I can as I am absolutely terrible at it but have played a one or two games. Not only that the recently released D.Va animated short, Shooting Star is amazing! The new Nano Cola event has just started and there’s a new map on the way too which after having a quick look on the Public Test Realm was so much fun and is probably one of my favourites that have been added since launch!

The Sims 4 (Console)

I’ve had great fun playing The Sims 4 and a variety of the packs on PlayStation 4 over the last few weeks. I’ve been trying to build a few small homes and getting used to the build controls which has been interesting at times but I am getting there slowly. My poor Sim seems to be an easy target for Vampires and I think when I load up next that she will have turned into a full vampire which is something that I don’t really experience on the PC version.

Also, The Sims 4 Get Together expansion has just been announced for console which is released in early September which will be another great addition to the game which I am also looking forward too.

World of Warcraft

I recently got back into playing World of Warcraft and so far I’ve really been enjoying getting back into the game. This time I wanted to properly get into the game, learn the lore and to actually get involved in the game. As someone who didn’t get too far into the game the first time they played and that I’m returning to the game I did feel a little bit nervous. Not only that last time I played I didn’t really have anyone to play with. This time, however, I’ve got a friend who is going to be helping me level up and being my partner in crime in the game which I’m looking forward to. The video below has also been helpful in giving me a few tips and tricks for getting back into the game as well!

That’s it for this months My Month In Gaming post. September is the start of the time of year where we see lots of new gaming releases many of which I am looking forward to playing including Destiny 2 Forsaken, Dragon Quest XI, Spider-Man and many more!  I’ve also got even more games lined up and on their way from Boomerang Games which I’m hoping to get a chance to play. September also means RTX London is just around the corner and I honestly can not wait to spend the weekend away in London!

  1. Your month wasn’t too different from my month! I played some Sims 4 where I made my favorite video game characters live together and chaos ensued, and I played some Overwatch (though I’m still awful). Other than that, I played a lot of Stardew Valley, and have been trying to clear out my never ending backlog
