Revisiting A Classic

With the recent release of the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy on PlayStation 4. This game franchise holds a lot of memories from my childhood and the fact  that it has been remastered and released is brilliant! I just have to wait for the rumoured Xbox One release to be able to play the remaster. While I wait though I decided to take a look back at the original PS One version of Crash Bandicoot on my PS Vita.

Priced at just £3.99 each you can pick up Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortext Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped from the Playstation Store. You can also pick up Crash Team Racing as well for the same price.

That aside I purchased the first Crash Bandicoot and loaded it up. The memories came flooding back. The excitement, the anticipation of what happens next and also the frustration of when you get stuck on the same part of the level time and time again. All familiar emotions from when I played the game when I was younger.

I’ve made my way through the game. I want to say about half way now and in a way it is refreshing to play such a classic game from the Playstation One era. I’ve just been playing when I’ve wanted to just chill out and relax and play a game that I know I can pick up and put down as and when I want.

My plan is to carry on and play/complete the first Crash Bandicoot game and then the next two as well and maybe even Crash Team Racing after that. Although before that I need to source some more PS Vita Memory Cards.

I’d like to see the later Crash Bandicoot games like Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex, Crash Tag Team Racing and even Crash Bash  remastered in the future but of course who knows what the developers have planned for fans. For now though the first three games from the franchise on PS Vita are enough!
